Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20040910

The bookmarks list displayed under the Bookmarks menu as well as in the Bookmark
Manager is cleared upon installing 1.7.5. The native <bookmarks.html> file is
not damaged or affected otherwise and importing it works for the current
session. The bookmarks are again reset to "ground zero" upon exiting and
relaunching Mozilla.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Mozilla 1.7.5.
2. Check the Bookmarks menu or open the Bookmark Manager. Observe that it is empty.
3. Import your bookmarls and verify that they have imported correctly.
4. Exit Mozilla (File > Exit or Ctrl + Q)
5. Restart Mozilla.
6. Repeat step 2.
Actual Results:
The Bookmarks were cleared, meaning that there were abslutely no bookmarks left
in the list.

Expected Results:
Bookmarks should have been left intact.

No bug report or crash observed.
Version: unspecified → 1.7 Branch
The issue is resolved; this is -thankfully- not a bug in Mozilla but a bad line
in <prefs.js> referring to dead %APPDATA% folders.
