Details
It's annoying to have to tell Firefox whether to allow cookies for a particular site over and over again, every time I access that site. Once I make this choice in the "Allow cookies?" dialog (the one with "Allow", "Allow for Session", "Deny", and "Cancel" buttons) for a particular site, that choice needs to stay in effect whenever I access that site -- even in later sessions -- unless I explicitly change it.

Once upon a time there was a checkbox 'remember this decision'. Is that gone now? (It really has a cancel button? it shouldn't have one. What would it do?)

It has a "Use the same decision for later cookies from this site", but that only lasts for the rest of the current login session.

Go to Tools->Options->Privacy and then select cookies. There is a dropdown menu where you should select 'keep cookies until they expire'.

If you check Tools->Options->Privacy->Cookies->Exceptions after checking the box and accepting/denying a cookie, is the site listed? If it's listed, is it still listed after a restart?

Oops, I didn't see that there was a setting for this under Tools->Options->Privacy->Cookies->Exceptions which was set to "ask every time". This bug was a mistake & I'm closing it myself.
