When you've navigated through more than 50 pages in one window/tab, you can't go
all the way back to the beginning. I appears that Mozilla stores only 50
navigation entries (i.e. the page you're on and the previous 49 links). Thus if
you go through the entire series of pictures (68 total pages) on the example
link provided, you'll only be able to click Back 49 times before it greys out
and doesn't let you go back any further.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open link http://spork.no-ip.com/~uef/gallery/fau_utility_tunnels/aaa and
keep clicking Next Photo until #68 is reached.
2. Click the Back button 49 times and watch it turn grey
Actual Results:
Back button turns grey after 49 clicks and doesn't let you go any further back.
Expected Results:
I should be able to go back to the beginning through the entire string of links.
It stores all my history for todays usage anyway, so why should there be a
limit? If there has to be a limit, it should be something overkill like 256 or
512 links.
No themes applied, latest build (2005013106)
Duplicate of bug 197466?
50 is the default value. If you want more, change the pref mentioned in the
other bug report with about:config.

Sorry, you can't change the pref with about:config, you have to edit the default
prefs, see bug 197466 comment 10.

Sorry about the dupe. I did actually search for this, but I missed it.
Thanks for the resolution! I have updated my \Program
Files\Mozilla.org\Mozilla\defaults\pref\browser-prefs.js file for Mozilla and my
\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\pref\firefox.js file for Firefox.
Mozilla.org ROCKS!!!!
Feature Request: Could this be made a setting in the Options... section?
