User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050219 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050219 Firefox/1.0+ This is tested on 19-Feb Trunk on W2K. After surfing for 1-1.5 hours i encountered a problem where as if i used middle button smooth scroll and as soon as i let go of the mouse button i would be taken to any random site in my history list. So to see if i could replicate the problem i used the X in the upper right part to close Firefox down, no errors occured. I restart Firefox , no errors again. And i still had the random reloading of my current page to the history page (same page most often as before). Now i close Firefox with the X again and go check Taskmanager and the Firefox.exe had not been shut down. After shutting down the exe file manually the erratic page loading disapeared. This may be two different errors , but they occured together so i keep them here as one as well for now. So far i have encountered this problem 3 times. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Surf for a few minutes with multiple tabs. 2.Hold down middle key and smooth scroll to bottom of current page. 3.Let middle key up as if you were done scrolling once you reach the bottom. 4.If the error occurs the page should now reload 5.Close Firefox with the X in the upper right corner. 6.Check Taskmanager. 7.Firefox.exe is still visible in the process list. Actual Results: 1.Current page is reloaded to a page from history 2.Firefox isn't shut down completely. Expected Results: 1. Not reload the page when middle mouse smooth scrolling is used 2. Exit the Firefox.exe correctly when the X is used to shutdown the application.

I can conform this bug with Windows/xp -2 Additional information: Starting with FF 1.03 - something on a web page or in the envirnment triggers this behavior. When exiting FF via the X button FF becomes a zombie and must be killed via the task manager. Exiting via EXIT on the File pull down menu works properly. Once this behavior is triggered it is completely repeatable. This same bug was intermitent in Mozilla but appears to have been solved in M 1.7.7. SG

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
