Just bring up the web page 2. 3. Actual Results: popups occur Expected Results: blocked the popups
www.hutchnews.com at this time makes two attempts to open a popup window. One is in a load handler, and one is the now infamous fastclick script. The former is not a problem for any version of Firefox less than one year old. I imagine the latter is the popup you're seeing. www.wichitaeagle.com makes no attempt to open a popup window. It simply redirects to www.kansas.com/mld/kansas/. I can find only one popup window at that site. It attempts to open a survey randomly 1 visit in 10 if you haven't been there in the last 2000 hours (it uses a cookie for the timer). The window is simply opened in the page's load handler. Reporter if you saw *that* popup something's wrong with your copy of Firefox. These two sites use very different techniques to attempt to open a popup, so this is at best two bug reports. However the first is simply a duplicate of bug 282931. We need more details on case (2) if this is to remain as a stand-alone bug report. I can't imagine why an undamaged build of Firefox would show the kansas.com popup. Reporter please try it with a new profile or at least after disabling extensions and any other third-party software that may be interfering, and include more complete steps to reproduce.
