User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1
My problem is the same as the one reported already (but unconfirmed) of bug
275897. Using MOzilla Firefox 1.01 (and also with v 1.0) I am able to login to
my.yahoo.com and to groups.yahoo.com, but I cannot login to my Yahoo web-based
email account wiht this browser. The probelm does not extend to my other
browsers, which are able to login to my Yahoo email.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to www.yahoo.com
2. Click on "My Yahoo" link at top of page.
3. Login - I have a junk mail accountL user "jeffreygson2", password c3b6n8m0
4. Click on any email listed in the Show email subjects on page.
5. Server will ask for a login password before it will display the contents of
the email.
6. Type in password "c3b6n8m0" again, in either standard mode or secure mode,
and Enter.
7. User authentication is not accepted. Email cannot be opened.
Actual Results:
It proved useless trying to view Yahoo email with Firefox so I switched to
Maxthosn (MyIE2) browser to read my email.
Expected Results:
Login to email account shoudl have been successful.

I could login and read your mail using Firefox 1.0.1 on Linux.
Specifically, at 5, the server did not ask me for the password a second time,
it just showed the mail contents.
It also worked fine using Mozilla 2005-02-26-06 trunk Linux.

Just tested with my fresh copy of Mozilla 1.8 B1 on Windows XP SP 2. I have no
problem logging into Yahoo! & checking my email (I've performed only the first 3
steps, and I didn't have the opportunity of directly checking an email from
myYahoo! (I suspect because of different layout than yours)).

Are you using a useragent switcher extension?

Have you tried clearing your cookies and trying again? There have been cookie
related problems with Yahoo! mail before.

Problem is not resolved !!!!
-Mac Os 10.14.6, I cannot LOGIN to my yahoo e-mail via FireFox.
-By the way I am using and I recommend FireFox browser, for years. Unfortunately I just found out that you have a totally useless set up for assistance. Communities have never offered any help !!!! especially your community, which does not exist, or no-one can get a reply.
-Furthermore I do not now where to find older versions for Firefox !!!
