likely another dup of bug 180672 - see fix there (status whiteboard and URL)

Michael:

In the duplicate bug, a workaround is described. So:

-go to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=180672
-Read the beginning of it: The fields called "URL" and "Status whiteboard".
-Copy the text in the URL field of the bug and place it in the browsers
URL-field, then hit enter.

It is a tiny javascript "command" that will re-generate the file compreg.dat,
which likely has gotten corrupted on your machine.

Then try a download again. Any change? To add a comment here, please use the
form for Additional Comments on web, in this bug-report. The link is in first
link the mail you get.
If the workaround URL does not help, quit Moz and go to install directory of
Mozilla and delete the file "compreg.dat" in the subdirectory "components.
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
