Try "removing the autocomplete.xpt file from your Firefox components directory, for example C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\components" Does it fix your issue?

Stopped Firefox, removed autocomplete.xpt component, restarted Firefox => same result Rebooted => problem gone. Clicking url now also highlights URL (as on fx 1.0) ==>> Happy bunny! Thanks for the workaround. I'm looking forward to 1.0.2
