Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 (Build 20041206) Using Thunderbird to compose a message, user enters each address with the Address Book "suggested address" pulldown window opens with partial match addressees. However, after creating 3 or more addressees, place blinking cursor at end of last completed addressee entry, then press UP arrow. Cursor does not move up; instead, a blank blue pull-down window appears (similar to Address Book scroll list). Appears that there are invisible entries/selections available. Moving cursor with keyboard arrows may result in deletion of last entered address. My computer is an IBM NetVista 6274-18U, Intel P4 1.8GHz, 512MB, 80GB 7200RPM IDE HDD, PCI Desktop (2x2), ATI Rage 128 Ultra 16MB, 16X DVD-ROM, Intel 10/100 Ethernet, POV, Windows 2000 SP4 with all patches (thru 3/1/05). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. From the main Thunderbird 1.0 window, Click WRITE. 2. Start entering an email address. 3. Select an address from the pull-down list, then press ENTER. 4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3. 5. Repeat Steps 2. DO NOT PRESS ENTER, DO NOT MOVE CURSOR. 6. With flashing cursor at end of last full address, press UP arrow. 7. Cursor will not move, but an (apparently) empty blue scroll-down selection box appears. 8. Moving cursor after empty scroll-down box appears may result in deletion of last entry made. Actual Results: See DETAILS. Expected Results: Cursor should have moved up one (1) address space. Program does not crash, but addresses disappear and have to be re-entered. Using standard/default Thunderbird theme.

I am quite sure I've seen this problem reported already, but I cannot find it, so I'm confirming. Reproduced with TB 1.0, TB 1.0+0302, and Moz 1.8b-0120, so moving to Core. (In reply to comment #0) > Steps to Reproduce: > 5. Repeat Steps 2. DO NOT PRESS ENTER, DO NOT MOVE CURSOR. > 6. With flashing cursor at end of last full address, press UP arrow. Which "last full address" do you mean? "Step 2" implies that you start to type the third address -- if I press the up-arrow after having started the address, the selection moves within a populated dropdown. The "steps to reproduce" can more simply be stated as: 2) Enter an address using autocomplete -- either select from dropdown or accept the first match. Enter or Tab. 3) Return focus to address field 4) Press up- OR down-arrow. > Expected Results: > Cursor should have moved up one (1) address space. See bug 244512.

agree with Mike bug 244512 comment 3. WFM version 3 alpha 1 (20060608) (except for the small part still covered by bug 244512) John, do you agree?
