Split off from bug 21832: In the indicated url, copy some part of the word "Checkbox" and try to paste it in plaintext (e.g. into an xterm window). It doesn't paste, and you see Transferable didn't support data flavor text/unicode (type = 31) What's happening is that the <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN"> at the beginning of the file is causing the output system to return a null string to the clipboard, even though there's content in the xif.
