28566 - IM password field doesn't get focus after wizard dismissed

Reemove .mozilla directory
Launch IM.
In sidebar, open "Buddy List" panel.
You will get a wizard for screen name, password.
Take default in first panel, in second panel, enter a screen name and password.
Dismiss the wizard dialog accepting your changes.
The buddy list should warp to a signon panel, with screen name, password you
entered filled in.
Notice you can obtain focus on the checkboxes (save password, autologin) but you
can't get focus on the editor field.
If you close the sidebar, and reopen, you can get focus.
I've poured over our code, xul, and css, and I see nothing that would account
for this.

I love how all bugs are now beta1. Heh. Anyway, let me guess, this is linux only?

If so, you're boned until Joki fixes an event targeting problem on linux.

Please verify if this is linux only.

Saari: only beta1 because it is a dependency bug for a beta1 PDT+.

Yes, afaik, Linux only.

What bug is this Joki bug? I should probably make it a dependency bug as well.

Dollars to doughnuts says this is bug #27784 on joki's PDT+ list. This is a 
"rather unfortunate" event targeting bug on Linux only. Actually, it is an XP 
bug, but we thik linux is affected simply because of view ordering.

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do until that bug is fixed.
