User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.3; SunOS) (KHTML, like Gecko) Build Identifier: It would be useful if there were an easy way to add new fields to the bug report. I am looking at what it would take to replace our current DDTS bug tracking system with Bugzilla. In DDTS, we have different fields basedon the product. Some additional fields we have are: Detection method: (how the bug was found - list) Detected in phase: what phase this version of the product is in when detected (i.e. GA, Development, ERG, etc.) Reproducability: (Always, sometimes, rare, none) Gating: GA, ERG, etc. What release stage this bug blocks Document status: Status of documentation for this bug Estimated fix date Estimaged fix version Software bug caused: (version of software where bug was introduced - not same as found) Impacts projects: (freeform field) This is just our bug tracking system and I'm sure many companies have their own set of fields they use. Ideally I should be able as administrator to insert fields and specify their type to be a checkbox, radio button group, pull-down menu, single line or multi-line field. I should not have to go in and modify a bunch of perl code to change the fields. We also have an enclosure called CM events. This is used to record all files checked in to fix this bug in our version control system. I.e. in our environment, whenever a file is checked in, a valid bug number must be assigned and that bug is updated with the name and version of the file that was checked in. Reproducible: Always I will attach a couple of screen capture images to give an example of one of our bugs.
This is an example of what one of our internal bugs looks like.
This is high on the list of features wanted, but it needs someone to put in a lot of work to make it happen. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 91037 ***
