RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 263930

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1

With the task manager displayed, Process Mem Usage starts at 17,300K when
Firefox starts. As I go to different webpages and open new sessions, the number
climbs steadily. It got to 74,220K once. When I close Firefox the process
disappears.
It sounds like it's not releasing memory properly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Task Manager - Processes tab
2.Start Firefox and go to different webpages
3.Watch Mem Usage continuously climb.

Actual Results:
I'm afraid of running out of memory. Luckily, I have 512MB, so this hasn't
happened yet.

Expected Results:
Release unused memory.

This is Firefox Version 1.0.1
I checked the open bugs and I'm not sure if Bug #263930 is saying the same thing
or not.
