User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; es-ES; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050320 Firefox/1.0.1 (Debian package 1.0.1-3)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; es-ES; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050320 Firefox/1.0.1 (Debian package 1.0.1-3)

It would be nice if Firefox rendered <q> and </q> as language-specific quotation
marks. Examples: „German quotation style“, ”Swedish quotation style”, «Spanish
quotation style».

The HTML 4.01 standard states that this is the prefered behaviour:
"User agents should render quotation marks in a language-sensitive manner (see
the lang attribute). Many languages adopt different quotation styles for outer
and inner (nested) quotations, which should be respected by user-agents."
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/text.html#h-9.2.2.1

I received a but about this subject in my Debian package:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=282004

There is also a similar bug in Mozilla MailNews component:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=234800

Reproducible: Always
Summary: use of language-specific quotation marks → use language-specific quotation marks for <q> and </q>
