Dead keys do work in the find toolbar if the toolbar was invoked from the menu
or with the ctrl-F shortcut, but do not work when invoked with the / (slash) key.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. press / to invoke the find toolbar and try to enter accented characters with
dead keys

Actual Results:  
no characters appear

Expected Results:  
typed characters should be displayed

Firefox/1.0+ (latest nightly)

Dead keys also work if the toolbar is invoked with F3.

This bug is still present in Firefox 1.0.6.

I have problem with central-european characters; cannot comment on relationship
with the bug 259454 concerning asian languages.

With "now" I meant the recent builds, like Deer Park alphas (sorry, I should've
been more specific). Firefox 1.0.x doesn't get many fixes other than security
and stability. Deer Park (alpha) builds is what will eventually become Firefox
1.5. Is it fixed there?

The reason I mentioned bug 259454 is that as I understand it, the Find Toolbar
input field has the focus even when using FAYT, after that bug was fixed.
