Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 The location bar is not filled in with the location of the site we are looking at, until that page is partially loaded. This means that any visit to a slow or broken website via any means other than typing its URL into the location bar manually (eg, loading from bookmark, middle click on a link to bring it up into a new tab, middle click in a tab to paste and load a URL (with that silly scroll wheel thing turned off), or remotely firing off firefox to open a link in a new window by calling firefox externally) will have an empty location bar, and you can't manually correct the slight mistake you may have made that is eg. confusing your DNS server. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find a webpage with a link to a site that is not currently responding 2. open in new tab or window 3. sit back and have a sip of coffee 4. Notice URL is not in location bar (and old one may be there) 5. For good effect, press escape, or stop the loading 6. Notice still no URL in location bar. 7. or/ Sit there and wait for the connection to time out, by which time the URL finally appears. Actual Results: No URL, or old URL in location bar, until timed out, or page partially loaded Expected Results: new URL should be in location bar as soon as the location bar is drawn on the page Boog appears on several distributions, and over a couple of versions, and wasn't there for mozilla.
