User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050416 Fedora/1.0.3-1.3.1 Firefox/1.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050416 Fedora/1.0.3-1.3.1 Firefox/1.0.3 When you install firefox without uninstalling previous versions, installer creates a new entry in the "Control Panel" option "Add/Remove programs". So you have a reference to uninstall every Firefox version you have installed (1.0.1, 1.0.2, 1.0.3,...), nevertheless, currently you only have one version installed, the last! I propose installer should replace old entry in "Add/Remove list" instead of creating a new one when you are upgrading to an upper version. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install a Firefox version (e.g. Firefox 1.0.1) 2.Install a newer Firefox version (e.g. Firefox 1.0.2) Actual Results: Look at "Add/Remove programs" list to check there are two entries for Firefox but the newer upgraded the older. Expected Results: I propose installer should replace old entry in "Add/Remove list" instead of creating a new one when you are upgrading to an upper version. I submmit this bug because non technical Firefox users have reported me that this creates confussion: they don't know if the older versions of Firefox are already installed on their systems wasting disk space unnecesarily.
This is fixed on the trunk. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 247884 ***
