So if you disable bfcache it loads fast?
correct, the page hangs for about 3 seconds before its renderd
Er... 3 seconds without bfcache? Against 5 seconds with? Is that the bug
you're describing? Or is the 3 seconds with bfcache?

Basically, the "correct" and "hangs for 3 seconds" parts of your answer are not
reconciling in my head...
Sorry...with bfcache set to 10, paypal takes 3 seconds to load when going back
and forward from any page to paypal.com.

also on first load of paypal.com the page takes about 3 seconds to load.

All other pages usually instantaneously load for me on my 6mbit cable connection
and this is even on page which I have never visited before so its not just
because of cache.

With bfcache disabled paypal.com loads instantaneously as well as other pages
and going back and forward takes about 1/2 a second.

(I really never had slow back/forward behavior before bfcache but it has sped up
some pages that have ads and such.)
Brian, any idea what's going on here?

Kurt, can you retry in -safemode ?
I asked on forums and a few with Paypla account denied having any slowdown at all

Paypal is not saved in bfcache because it is an https site that uses Pragma:
no-cache. Other than that though, I fail to see that it's any slower to load
with bfcache enabled than with it disabled. Just don't expect a speedup.

Could the fix for bug 298794 have made this one better? Kurt, do you still see
the problem in a current trunk build?
