SOCKS 4a and 5 have support for connecting to a host by name, leaving the DNS
lookup for the SOCKS proxy. This is important for projects such as Tor
(http://tor.eff.org - an anonymous proxy system) because DNS requests can leak
the identity of webpages which the browser is accessing.
