Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

When opening the page at http://www.spacedaily.com pop-up windows are sometimes
generated. No other action by the user seems to be required other than opening
the aforementioned webpage. The number of pop-up windows generated varies.
Sometimes there are none. Sometimes I've had as many as two appear. The
pop-ups regularly link to "205.180.85.40" and "a.tribalfusion.com."

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open URL http://www.spacedaily.com
2. The first time you do this, it regularly opens at least one pop-up, but you
seem to have to wait awhile (an hour? a day?) before the next time you open the
webpage before it creates the pop-up again.

Actual Results:
Creates between zero and 2 pop-up windows.

Expected Results:
The pop-ups should have been blocked, I think.

I'm running windows 2000 SP4, Firefox 1.04.
Using an Athlon XP 2100+ w/ 512 MB PC 2100 RAM in Dual Channel mode on an ASUS
A7N8X Delux mainboard, if that matters.

Probably a Flash related popup.

This is with
privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins = 2

Steven do you get the popup with the above setting?

Jamie,

I'll have to try again tomorrow, because I've apparently gotten my pop-up quota
for today. Even without implementing the setting you mention, I am getting no
pop-ups at the moment.

I'm a novice at best, but I'll try to assist. Could you tell me in a little
more detail how to implement the setting you describe?

-Steven
