You need a working Flash player with the flashplayer.xpt file installed for this
bug:

I have a page that includes a flash object via embed. when the user clicks a
button the area with the flash object is converted into display:block but I'm
not getting access to the object before an alert dialog.

the source is really simple.

the bug report is about not having access to the object as soon as I do an
display:block
even a js wait for loop does the trick. what to do?

using nightly firefox build

Which starts the plugin load, etc.
