I am running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition 3790 (Service pack one). I installed Windows then I installed Deer Park Alpha 1 and it was working like a champ. Then I updated the system with Windows update to its current state and build now deer park will not launch. I get an error that says "Mozzila is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window you must restart firefox." I have checked "task manager" to see if there are any orphen processes running however there are none.

Have you set the variable MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 in Environment Variables? This can cause the error.

Anthony Lucent, do you see this problem with a latest trunk or the 1.5 Beta 1 ?
Also does Firefox start (at least the profile manager) if you start it with firefox.exe -profileManager?
Not a crash, removing 'crash' kw. Adding "hang" instead. Reporter, is this still an issue for you, or can we close this bug? Also, http://kb.mozillazine.org/Category:Issues_%28Firefox%29 may help you.
