I would like to make bugzilla accessible to the whole company. However, the
default appearance is a bit complicated for certain departments, e.g. sales,
marketing, whatever. This folks are only interested in the basic information
fields, not only for entering new bugs but also when adding new comments.

I would therefore like to suggest a way to define certain user modes based on
the department a person comes from. For example, per department a list of the
relevant fields that would be viewable/editable.

So you would have a matrix with all the fields and per defined group (including
the default) a column showing read/write checkboxes.

This would be a fantastic improvement as it would open up the bugzilla
functionalities to any user layperson.
