User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Happens to me periodically. Seems to happen more often if i am saving to UNC path on slow server, or when i have many tabs open, or site is slow. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open many tabs 2. Issue "Save Page As" - through menu or Ctrl+S 3. Immediately try to close active tab you are saving - Ctrl+F4 or click cross - no difference Actual Results: 1 out of 5-20 times (depending on network, server speed, god knows what) Firefox hangs. File "Blah.php.htm" is not created. Directory "Blah.php_files" is created, but is empty. Waited for ~10 min - no recovery, had to kill process. Expected Results: Er... this should work, right? Personal opinion - "Save As" - page or file - should happen in different thread, not blocking main thread, so you can continue to browse.
This was not 100% repro, so when i tried to reproduce it lately, with Firefox 1.5.0.7, it was not happening. Most likely fixed.
