User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Running XP (without SP 1 or SP2) Problem occured with Firefox 1.06 - loaded ~7/14/05, and also with Firefox 1.06 loaded now, 8/2/05. Problem did not occur with any prior revs of Firefox. While this page loads, the 3" x 3" display ad in the right middle of page flickers rapidly, while also flickering near the left top. After ~ 2 seconds (when the page seems to have finished loading), the problem cease. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. find an XP system (possibly without SP1 or SP2 to match my system) 2. load http://www/msnbc.msn.com 3. observe Actual Results: ads flicker as described Expected Results: ads should load in just one location on the screen without flickering. I do not have any special themes or add-on software installed. I reproduced the problem tonight from a new download using the "standard" install.
This has been fixed on trunk for some time now. So if you don't want to get a nightly build, you can wait for Firefox 1.5 to come out. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 132337 ***
