User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050712 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050712 Firefox/1.0+ The only thing that keeps me from moving to Camino from Firefox is that the "No Script" extension is not available. If Camino had a Java Script whitelist built in to it I would ditch Firefox for good. Thank you. Reproducible: Always
I think this can be done with a combination of user_pref("permissions.default.script", 2); in user.js and then host scipt 1 example.com in hostperm.1 for the whitelist. I'm not sure we need a UI for this in Camino proper, though; maybe something for the author of CamiBlock to consider....

A GUI for CAPS http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/components/ConfigPolicy.html would also be useful, probably more so than a GUI that accomplishes comment 1, although the GUI for comment 1 would be a lot simpler and more in-line with our current popup blocker whitelist. cl

No, we don't want this. 99.9% of users will have no idea what it means or how to use it correctly, *and* we'll be saddled with the bugs of "my bank doesn't work, i swear i didn't do anything different waaaaaah, oh wait, yeah, i did add it to the noscript list, so what?"

This is another one of those things that would be really good for a third-party pref pane to implement. One of our devs is kindasortamaybe working on that.

Re-summarizing so this is easier to find in searches. This came up again tonight with the skeevy behaviour of the NoScript developer: http://adblockplus.org/blog/attention-noscript-users
Summary: Request for "No Script"-like Java Script whitelist in Camino. → Request for NoScript-like Javascript whitelist in Camino.
I have made a few notes on possible implementation details at http://wiki.caminobrowser.org/User:Hendy:Noscript .
I'll do it. (as an additional prefPane)
