Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050801 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050801 Firefox/1.0.6

Firefox 1.0.6 freezes if I try to close a tab whose content is almost retrieved
but the favicon is not rendered yet.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to open a new page with favicon in a tab.
2.just before the favicon appears (downloading sign disappears but no favicon
appears) push the close tab button.

Actual Results:
Firefox freezes.
I can do nothing anymore. I must kill the processes.

Expected Results:
The tab is closed.

I have encountered the behavior of the browser a few times.
Since the timing is severe, I cannot intentionally reproduce it
and the 'steps to reproduce' is merely a guess.
Does it occur on the current trunk version of firefox:
ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk
I haven't seen the behavior for 1.5.x for several months. So, I close this.
