User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b) Gecko/20050217 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b) Gecko/20050217 Newsgroups have become damaged somehow. If I try to subscribe to new newsgroups in Altopia by clicking Subscribe, Subscribe refuses to open. Moz News freezes and there is no way to let it calm down. Windows tells me Moz is not responding. I must close Moz. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click Subscribe in the Altopia account. Actual Results: Subscribe refuses to open. Moz News then freezes (browser may also be frozen - not certain). Windows say Moz is not responding. Moz must be closed. Expected Results: Click subscribe to newsgroups in the account. Subscribe window for the account opens and the user subscribes to one or more groups. The window is closed and new groups appear in the account window. News continues to respond and is not frozen. All attempts to rectify this crash have not worked. How do I get Moz News back to normal, since it has apparently been damaged somehow. Moz News and Thunderbird continue to be highly flaky applications on my system. All Thunderbird versions have been quite flaky and Moz News is seriously flaky also. News and Thunderbird appear far, far more flaky and unstable than the browser, IMHO a longstanding Moz issue.
Please retest with a current trunk build from (now called Seamonkey 1.0x, formerly known as Mozilla 1.8x) http://ftp.eu.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/latest-trunk/ Thanks.
