User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050819 Camino/0.9a2+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050819 Camino/0.9a2+ Double-clicking (to select word) and triple-clicking (to select line) work correctly. However, if you drag the mouse pointer after the final click (without releasing the mouse button), the selection should (per HIG I woudl guess) grow by the relevant unit. Instead, Camino grows the selection by character. See most any standard app -- e.g. TextEdit or Safari -- if you need an example of the proper behavior. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Double-click on word in page 2. Hold mouse button down and drag 3. Notice selection growing by character, not by word Actual Results: I noticed the selection growing by character, not by word. I tried to keep calm. Expected Results: It should have grown the selection by word. Have I typed enough yet?

i'm sure this is a dupe of long-standing core bugs. don't expect a fix any time soon, i'm afraid. :(
Too bad. Definitely a ding in Camino's nice Aqua finish! Sorry to post a dupe. I tried a half-dozen different searches first but didn't see anything.
For the record: the Core bug is bug 16203. Not sure whether this is a dupe or a dependency...
I believe all of that stuff is handled in Core. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 16203 ***
