Black background with pale green text is literally a pain to read. Please pick something in the same universe as standard.

we need some polish work overall to solve the contrast complains in different ui areas of the product. But i don't believe in follwing "standards" at all since nothing we have done in the past 5 years really fits into much of the old standards anyway.

I hope that translates as "something more user friendly will be found." I don't really care about some standard, I just want to be able to read the menu choices.

Light on dark is almost *always* harder to read than dark on light. That's just the way it is. (You don't believe in following standards at all, shuang? Hmmm. HTML 4.0? CSS1? CSS2? XML? ...)

All menus have been made black text on grey no matter where they popup from, as the contrast was indeed found to be too low to be legible ( and also for providing a simpler skin design platform) BTW interesting that one person here saw it as green on black, wonder whether this was on Linux and therefore a color palette thing. [as an aside I think Shuangs observation is certainly right: many things done in last 5 years on the UI side at Netscape were successful because they did not blindly apply 'standards']

On MacOS build 200042808, menus coming from the taskbar (the `Mozilla' and `Open Windows' menus) are still light on dark. Once those menus are changed to be black on gray like the others, this bug can be marked as FIXED.
adding [modern skin] to subject line as this does not apply to classic. I believe this was fixed when all popup menus where made grey also. marking fixed, pls re-open if you find out otherwise.

All menus in Modern are now dark blue on light blue, which is reasonably easy to read. Verifying fixed.
