Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050910 Firefox/1.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050910 Firefox/1.4 What I am proposing is that when the user updates Firefox, the compatibility checker should show which extensions are not compatible (it already does this) and then allow the user to specify if they want an uncompatible extension to work. It could warn the user that this could cause Firefox to stop working, but it will also allow the user to keep using old extensions that still work, just their install.rdf file hasn't been updated. This feature would give the user more control over their browser. The extension manager can still check for update. Reproducible: Always
