In Firefox, when drag is done to desktop, URL of IDN is made for the clipboard file. It is necessary to make the location file from the name of the title of the Web page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open URL 2. URL drag and drop to desktop. Actual Results: The clipboard file is generated. Expected Results: Mac OS X 10.3.9 trunk firefox Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; ja-JP; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050917 Firefox/1.6a1 The location file is generated with the name of the title of the web page.

If I understand this correctly, I have the same complaint. In Safari when you drag the URL to the Finder desktop a webloc (bookmark) file is created and its title is the title of the web page. In Firefox 2.009 the resulting desktop file's title should also be the web page title but instead is the actual URL.
Like bug 309037, this also WFM in Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090902 Minefield/3.7a1pre.
