with Mozilla suite 1.7.10 installed, I installed the Seamonkey alpha 1.0 build.
now, even editing windows registry, the ui for either version renders as ascii
text boxes.
( figure red and blue dos shell from dos 5.0 and you'll have a good idea )


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install Mozilla suite
2.Install seamonkey alpha 1.0
3.start seamonkey
4.shut seamonkey down
5.start Mozilla suite

Actual Results:  
I'll attach a screencap if bugzilla allows jpegs.

note:
Seamonkey itself isn't affected.
but until Seamonkey allows background loading of new tabs it is un-usable for
browsing.

check setting of preference xul.debug.box, should be false.
I assume you have set 
Edit->Preferences->Debug->Rendering: debug XUL boxes

Maybe you've got to edit prefs.js in your profile to change it back.
