I'd like Camino to just discover Newsfeeds (RSS/Atom/etc) for me.
I think Camino should: Display a nice orange RSS icon (or other visual
indication if better) that a site provides an rss feed (compare to Safari).
Clicking/Selecting the icon should send the feed to the registered application
for feeds; voila: instant integration with your spiffy newsreader of choice.
Proposed positions would be either in the location bar or status bar (either is
fine, but location bar is more discoverable).
Discussion is also found at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=1774354
Reproducible: Always
I think the suggested solution meets the Camino project's goals best compared to
the alternatives. This way we discover and make sure content is handled by the
appropriate other apps the user has. We don't have to introduce a new clunky
feature distracting us from the actual browser.
That's exactly what is being proposed in bug 287705.
