Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050927 Firefox/1.0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050927 Firefox/1.0.7

Solaris 8 and SuSE (x86_64) linux, both running firefox-1.0.7. When running
firefox from linux against a solaris firefox generated .mozilla directory,
firefox will not start. Vice versa, firefox starts but with errors.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.delete current .mozilla while logged in to solaris machine. start firefox
(solaris) to create a fresh .mozilla dir. Exit firefox
2.log in to linux machine and start firefox with the same account (NIS). This
will effectively force linux firefox to access the .mozilla directory created by
step 1. Firefox will start normally but if you check Help > About Mozilla. The
info is for the solaris install.
3.Exit firefox and run it again. Firefox will not start.

Actual Results:
Firefox will not start

Expected Results:
Start firefox and profile info should be usable on both platforms.

This is discussed in bug 7067. You should be able to use two different profiles
as a workaround, though this doen't address the issue of sharing settings etc.
