I want to add search engines to the search engine box where Google etc already
are. I click on the search box in upper right to add additional search engines.
I select the search engines that I want to add from your list that appears on
the left, and confirm it in the drop down menu. But the search engine name is
not added to the list of search engines in the box where Google is on the upper
right. Please help. Thank you so much.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on the arrow next to the G for Google on the upper right search box (or
go right to your Getting Started page and click on a search engine to add)
2.When a list of search engines to add appear on the bottom left, I select a
search engine to add to the list
3.A drop down menu appears confirming that I want to add this particular search
engine - I accept
4. The search engine name does not appear on the upper right on the list of
search engines
Actual Results:  
The name of the search engine that I just selected to add to the list of search
engines does not appear in the drop down list in the search box on upper right

Expected Results:  
The name of the new search engine should have been added to the list of search
engines that are already listed on the upper right.

This is because you don't have write permissions to Firefox's mail application
directory. This was fixed by moving user-added search engines to the profile
directory in bug 123315.
