User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1 For instance, when I have a blank filed such as a search field in Google, I can normally click on it and the historical list comes up and I can scroll down and choose. Often I like to clear it all out so I hilight the first one and press Shift-Del and they all are deleted. Now with both 1.5 Beta releases, it deletes the hilighted entry in the pull down, but I then have to tab down to the next entry and hold Shift-Del. Not a big deal, but a change in behavour from V1.0.6 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a field in a web page you have previously made entries (search in Google for example) 2.Left click on this, observe historical entries, hilight the first one. 3.Hold Shift-Delete, observe one gets deleted but the focus changes back to the box. Must tab down to the next entry and then holding Shift-Del clears them all out. This appears to be a change of behavor in the beta versions (1.5) from the previous releases. Actual Results: only one entry gets deleted Expected Results: Should delete as many as you have if you hold down the shift-del keys

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1 ID:2005100618 WFM. Possibly an extension causing this?

This works if you use the down arrow key to open the dropdown.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005100607 I can see it too. If you select the first (or any) item with the mouse pointer, Shift-Del will only allow one deletion and then you'll have to refocus on the drop down. If you use the arrow keys, you can delete them one by one without losing focus.

I can reproduce this in my default profile but not in a new profile. I tried to find out what was causing this to no avail. Nothing in the folder extensions or in prefs.js. But when I removed everything in my profile except the folders extensions and chrome and the files prefs.js, localstore.rdf, hostperm.1, signons.txt key3.db, history.dat and bookmarks.html, the problem went away. No doubt that it will come back.

Correction: I could also get it to fail twice in a new profile now, so it must have been coincidence. I have also Shift key problems managing folders in Explorer btw.

(In reply to comment #0) Well, under Linux, DEL doesnt work anyway, just does SHIFT+DEL, but I know in Explorer its only DEL. Can't remember to have used DEL in Firefox under windows anytime, but SHIFT+DEL never deleted all of them, only the one selected. So if this bug is rechanged to DEL for 1 entry and SHIFTDEL for all entries, I hope the linux version will be changed accordingly and some note is posted somewhere.
Shift-Del still acting like Del. I do not need to refocus to delete, when I've summoned the list with a mouse click. FF 50.1.0 (Arch Linux 64-bit)
