Currently, in normal (Latin) text, soft hyphens () are never rendered (see
bug 9101 for detalis).
However, in non-Latin text, soft hyphens which happen to be at the beginning of
text frames are rendered. This is especially visible in bidi text, where every
switch for one direction to the other forces a new frame.

This testcase contains a soft hyphen before and after every character. None of
these hyphens should be displayed, however, many of them currently are
displayed (as hyphens).
This is probably not Mac-specific. Please test this (using the upcoming
testcase) with other OSs and comment.

This WFM (on Mac) starting from 2006-02-23. I'm not sure what fixed it.
