User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1
I had the following error each time I wanted to install Link Toolbar from the
above URL:
Link Toolbar 1.1.0.1 could not be installed because it is not compatible with
Firefox 1.4.1. (Link Toolbar 1.1.0.1 will only work with Firefox versions from
1.0 to 1.4)
In case the cache would have been a problem (old version of
http://clav.mozdev.org/updates.rdf in the cache?), I decided to clear it. But I
now get a "Download error".
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Clear the cache.
2. Open the above URL.
3. Click on "Install the Link Toolbar". A "Software Installation" window appears.
4. Click on "Install now".
Actual Results:
The Extensions window appears; it says:
linkToolbar.xpi
Install completed successfully
But an Error window appears at the same time, saying:
Firefox could not install the file at
http://mozdev.elliptic.fr/cdn/linkToolbar/linkToolbar.xpi
because: Download error
Expected Results:
I shouldn't get any error.
This is reproducible, whatever mirror has been chosen.

Firefox/1.4.1 ID:2005101704
WFM. It appears in the EM, says that "Firefox is checking for a compatibility
update to Link Toolbar" and then it says that "Link Toolbar it will be installed
when Firefox is restarted".
