On the Mac, the bidi caret's directional flag is able to blink during the wrong
portion of the caret's blink cycle. The caret and its flag should both appear
and disappear together, but it's possible for the flag to appear when the caret
is gone, and vice-versa.
To reproduce, visit a bidirectional text field (such as the one at
http://www.wikipedia.org) and begin entering text. (This may be
timing-sensitive.) Stop after a few characters are entered (before the box is
full). Note that while the caret is drawn, the flag is missing, and while the
flag is drawn, the caret is missing.
When the caret is in such a state, remove focus from the text field. The caret
disappears, but the directional flag remains as a turd.
