Product is consisted by many components, for a minor release of the product, the
component should have different version, hence I think it's necessary to add a
version information for the component.

Actively working this issue.  We need the ability to version both at the product and component levels.

Implementation involves adding new component_version field to bugs, and a component_id to versions.  Default for both these fields will be null to avoid any negative impact on existing code.

Due to the current code freeze for 3.0, it's unlikely that this will be authorized for 3.0, though it's likely to land during 3.1 (3.2).

This code is being implemented at AMD by 1/15/07.  It makes sense to contribute same back to community.
