Details

I may be blind, but I can no longer see the "Change all these bugs at once"
option... Is this normal?

I've tried this with both Nav4 and IE5. I'm behind a firewall.
It only shows up if you have logged in, and only if you have the ability to edit
all bugs.

But you're not the only one to have complained. It requires more thought.
The problem is, I log in (using the log in -> query page link at the bottom),
then do my query (all bugs with summary containing "{compat}") then hit
submit... and by the time I get to the next page, I've been logged out!

I'm using IE5, which probably explains it...
Actually, it sounds like you may have cookies disabled.
I just checked with this script:
   http://www.bath.ac.uk/%7Epy8ieh/cgi/development/tests/cookies
...and cookies are enabled.

Also, I can modify many bugs in a row (including closing IE5 in the meantime)
without having to login again.

At the foot of this page, it gives me a "Log in" link. However, I succeeded in
submitting these comments, as myself, nonetheless. Might this be related?
Incidentally, on the "bug updated" page, it accepted that I was logged in, but
on this page it no longer does...

is this still a problem? if not, please close.
The problem was my hostname kept changing due to a cache.
The solution is to use Digest Authentication or Basic Authentication and SSL.
