tested also on 1.5RC2.

I bookmark an url with a password like http://user:[e-mail].
With bookmarks manager, export bookmarks.
The url is still ok in the exported file.

The problem is, if I import them back with bookmarks manager, the url became
http://mysite.com : user and password had been removed.

Right : On firefox 1.5 Window, it works ...
I'l try again on 1.5 Linux.

I understood : the problem is not on bookmark manager but on firefox :

If you open the attached file with firefox and use "file ... save as", passwords will not be saved !
So when I was re-importing them, of course, I had no passwords ...


By the way, I noticed that bookmark file produced by bookmar maager is not properly formed. For exemapl, it ends with an unclosed <p> ...
