User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 Firefox/1.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 Firefox/1.4 The weekly article feed for The Onion doesn't load. Feed validator says it has problems: http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.theonion.com%2Fcontent%2Ffeeds%2Fweekly But the problems they describe are empty link and language tags in the channel descriptor rather than any of the items - I think tbird should be tolerant of those errors. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to add http://www.theonion.com/content/feeds/weekly to subscription list 2. Wait while nothing happens 3. Abort subscribe Actual Results: Cannot subscribe to feed Expected Results: Subscribed to feed, downloaded and read articles.
Checking that feed at http://feedvalidator.org/ shows several errors, including this: line 6, column 7: link must be a full and valid URL [help]: <link></link> which is exactly the symptom described at the dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 297569 ***
