User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051025 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051025 Firefox/1.5

When I load the page (see the URL above) Firefox 1.5 doesn't stop loading the page. The loading bar blinks all the time.

I think it has something to do with the fact that the script or the inline frame isn't loaded because it's hidden (css: display:none;).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit the URL
Actual Results:
Does't stop loading and blinks all the time.

Expected Results:
Correc loading

The problem doesn't occur in Firefox 1.0.7

Javascript editor: http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051101 Firefox/1.5
same probleme here. Firefox 1.5 Final installed, OSX 10.4.3.

Rich Text Editors (MosCE, TinyMCE, htmlarea) will not work.

The problem doesn't occur in Firefox 1.0.7 !!
The Problem appears also in Camino 1.0b1 (and 1.0a1). It does not appear in Mozilla 1.7.7.
Bug is reproducable tested with MosCE and all available MosCE installations (for example http://www.cellardoor.za.net/mosce/content/view/14/29/ ). The problem with MosCE shows a slightly different behaviour:
The editor window only appear in the "Initial Text" part and not in Main Text part. The contents is not filled in into the editor's window. After typing a contents it disappears on saving.
The MosCE browser works with Camino < v1.0 (last tested version was 0.9.4) and with Mozilla 1.7.7 or Safari 1.2 (ans also with MSIE).

my system: Mac OS-X 10.3.9, Camino 1.0b1, tested host system based on Mambo 4.5.2.3 and MosCE1.03final

(In extending comment #3)
I reactivated Camino 1.0a1 to test the difference: In this outdated version MosCE works perfectly so the changes with Javascript comes between this 2 versions (or between September 28th and October 14th). But in 1.0a1 Java does not work so it is not an alternative to use the old version ...

Can somebody assign this bug to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317750 In other words: Firefox 1.4 from 30th September works, after that it is broken.

And can somebody test if this magic date is valid for the Windows version of Firefox too? i have only Mac-OS ...
I think the main part of this bug is different from bug 317750. The problem with the URL in the URL field here is that Fx 1.5 never stops trying to load (part of) the page (it's even worse in recent Camino nightlies; I can't get a click in!), but if I click on the English or Deutsch tab, the editor loads and is useable (within the limitation of Fx doing a constant reload of something...).

Bug 317750 is about editor widgets not working/not displaying existing text when starting an edit.

Jesse, you really don't see the constant reloading with the URL in this bug's URL field?
