User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 This is a wish, not a bug. In Opera, when I pasted a link into the location bar, there was a right click option, "Paste and Go" . I never realized how handy this was. I'd like to see this in Firefox. This usually arises because I can't get Kmail to recognise FF as the default browser, so to open a URL in an email, I have to cut and paste. Thus the better solution to this is making it easier to have FF open URLs in emails, specifically from Kmail. PS- I would use Tbird for email if I could integrate it with SpamBayes as easily as I can in Kmail. operator option= "Filter through (SpamBayes)" Super product overall! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.copy URL 2.position cursor over location bar 3. Right click for menu Actual Results: "Paste" is the only relevant option. ( NOt "Paste and Go".) Expected Results: "Paste" is the only relevant option Offer option on right click menu, right click option, "Paste and Go" .

Even faster: just use middle-click to paste the URL. It's the default on Linux, otherwise you need to set middlemouse.contentLoadURL to true (in about:config). For a keyboard shortcut : bug 254906. There's an extension if you prefer an entry in the context-menu : <https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=65>
