Clicking search opens the sidebar. If I have the sidebar closed, there is a
reason for it and I do not expect any action other than specifically opening it
to bring it open.
I suppose that if the sidebar is closed then maybe the search button should go
away.
When you say 'closed' do you mean you've clicked it closed or do you mean you've gone to the View menu and chosen to hide it?
If it's the latter (view) I agree with you and there is a bug on that. If it's just cause you've clicked it closed I'm betting you're out
of luck - that bad boy is going to pop open - but you can change with the pref under Navigator|Internet Search.
this is proly going to get marked INVALID or a Dupe.
I've hidden the sidebar using View -> Sidebar. If I had just closed it by
clicking on the splitter, I suppose it might be ok for it to pop open.
In that case I feel your pain.
