User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; es-AR; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051025 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; es-AR; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051025 Firefox/1.5

After updating to 1.5RC1, i've noticed that both context menus and menus from the menubar (with Default theme) looks too "flat", without the classic Win32 3D border, that was there on Firefox 1.0.7 and earlier. Also, when i move the mouse over the menu, instead to see a 3D effect like earlier Firefox versions (a border draw around the menu), it highlights on blue. This really looks ugly, at least for me.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox on any Windows version (on XP, switch to Classic Windows theme)
2. Open any menu (either context-menus or menubar)
3. See the borders... and the "mouseover" effect on closed menubar items

Actual Results:
Menus with a gray flat border, menubar items highlighted in blue when closed and mouse is over them

Expected Results:
3D native Windows look-and-feel for menus, as seen on older Firefox versions

Using default theme.
Summary: Menus look "flat" instead of classic 3D look under Windows → Menus look "flat" instead of classic 3D look under Windows (Default theme)
Version: unspecified → 1.5 Branch
It was decided to use CSS hacks for 1.5 to make menus look more like XP native menus do with the Luna theme.

Luna theme? Some XP users and all non-XP users still use the classic Windows "gray" theme, Those flat menus look ugly under non-Luna-themed desktops. Is there a way to restore these? (at least a user stylesheet, a preference or something?)
Tom, yeah, I know it sucks. Try something like this to change the CSS rules back: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Changing_Firefox_windows_back_to_classic_mode
Nice doc... I will try it later, when i install 1.5RC1 here at home
