User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1 I've noticed that firefox 1.5 RC2 is not releasing its memory after a webpage is closed. I verified this by opening the windows process list and finding the firefox process. Every web page opened increases the firefox memory useage. However, when the webpage is closed the memory does not decrease. The memory usage of firefox will continue to increase to about 140-150Mb until firefox becomes unstable and needs to be process killed. To work around this i need to close firefox every so often to clear out its memory then restart the application Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit any webpage 2. 3. Actual Results: Memory useage does not decrease after a page is changed Expected Results: Cleared its memory when a page is unloaded or a tab is closed
