Weet niet of deze bug nog veel zin heeft maar ik ben er blij mee. Bijgevoegde patch bevat de laatste zaken die me nog dwars zaten. Het gaat dan voornamelijk om dubbele en daardoor soms (plm. 4x) niet-werkende access keys in TB en waarschijnlijk 1 in de installer. De keys lijken me nog het meest belangrijk; in iets mindere mate maar toch ook de strings in het junk-deel, voor het geval er een keuze gemaakt moet worden.

Noot: met searchbar.properties is net zoiets aan de hand als met addressbook.properties (formaat/linefeeds). Voor de werking wellicht niet ernstig, misschien wel voor de patch, die is gemaakt t.o.v. correct formaat.

Uitleg/motivatie/bespreken graag via IRC.

Letterlijk gezien natuurlijk. Het gaat er hier echter om dat op locaties voor mailmappen consistent wordt gesproken over 'map x in map y'. Op dit moment is dat niet zo, zelfs in hetzelfde venster (zie 'op' achter 'Anders'). In het Engels gebruikt men in TB voor de mappen ook 'on' (=smokkelen?) en valt dit verschil niet zo op. Zouden we in het Nederlands hetzelfde doen dan betekent dat overal 'op'. Aangezien het in TB eigenlijk altijd om mappen gaat, die ook meestal niet zijn vernoemd naar de provider- of servernaam is overal 'in' m.i. het meest logisch. Een alternatief is het gebruik van 'onder', maar dat heeft niet mijn voorkeur en ook grotere gevolgen voor de tekst.

De patch heb ik in ieder geval toegepast op de trunk, ik heb goede hoop dat we het mailgedeelte nog kunnen toepassen op de branch, even gedult nog.

Ik zie dat de wijzigingen voor de editor-bestanden er niet in zitten. Klopt dat? Ondanks dat deze in een andere map zitten zijn de wijzigingen toch allemaal voor mail? Ook de kleine k voor kopiëren in feed-properties.dtd is weggelaten, maar dat is wellicht opzet?

Ondanks dat deze in een andere map zitten zijn de wijzigingen toch

Misschien een idee om de 3 in bug 289795 besproken gevallen van '8-bits' ook nog mee te nemen, mits dit geen problemen geeft? ;) (zonder karakters->tekens)

This contains recent changes in /editor files that were stripped from att 203281 and a few others, and contains many and possibly all remaining access key fixes for TB 1.5.

A few other key fixes in /messenger files were added, as well as string changes. Most of them have been discussed recently or even some time ago (like bits/tekens/gegevens/onderdelen/regels/staat/uiterlijk), some got my attention by user complaints and personal opinion (junk marking), and a few had not been implemented yet (log files). The remaining ones simply slipped from and popped back into mind when admiring the FF installer doing its work.. A few tab<>space conversions, full stops and case sensitivity key edits may occur wherever more important changes to the file were made.

Concerning value: no doubt about the access keys; this would eliminate the long-standing duplicates causing them to malfunction, when applicable. Some string changes could easily be 'merged' into the /editor files, some keys simply are in /messenger files. Other string changes make recent l10n (bug) discussions more useful for the 1.5 release and less work is to be done for the trunk. No risks are taken anywhere as all changes are an improvement IMO and have been used locally for about a week. Neither should any new strings result in window panes being too small as they are all less wide where this could happen.

Pike may remember me talking about this patch last tuesday.

Hi,

Currently, downloading the Dutch dictionary is troublesome. We can’t package it by default because it’s GNU licensed. So, we link to it from Thunderbird’s startup page. However, that link opens in Firefox, and prompts with a Firefox install dialog. This is very bad.

This patch fixes that situation, and directly installs the dictionary into Thunderbird. It’s a small script was originally created by the sv-SE localisation team, and is also used by the Russian localisation and probably some others as well.

I think it is really important that we have this in Thunderbird 1.5.

In addition to that, I’ve changed the link to mozdev in the same file to http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/dictionaries.html. This mozilla.com page is also linked when choosing ‘get more dicts’ in the spellcheck dialog, and I think we should be consistent with that here. I also think linking to mozilla.com is preferred.

With regard to that last change, I really think we should be providing a Dutch localised version of that page, but I guess that’s of later concern.

Na het updaten van Thunderbird, waar ik een melding van kreeg, stond er na het herstarten het volgende in het Help menu:

Thunderbird 1.5 downloaden (C)...

De shortcut key is hier dus onjuist.

Dit heeft denk ik iets te maken met de eerdere reden tot wijziging van C naar O. Gebruik je wel het meest recente taalbestand?

Overigens had Gert-Paul nog een paar missende infinitieven ontdekt en ik zag ook nog iets dergelijks, dus als de C gefixt moet worden (dit lijkt me kritisch) kan dat er wellicht mooi bij.
